While your name must remain publicly available, you can opt to hide personal information on your profile page by adjusting your privacy settings. If you are a registered user, we provide you with the means to edit personal information associated with your account.
Localocracy is primarily a platform for communication between citizens on local issues. By posting comments or voting, you are asking us to make your content public. Information you provide in comments, votes, questions and related services are publicly available by default. You can opt to hide comments and votes on your profile page, newsfeed or on the issue page itself. All user-generated content is immediately disseminated and publicly available upon posting.

Since Localocracy is designed connect geographically established communities, your approximate location is publicly available to anyone in your registered community. Exact information, including IP and personal address, are only publicly available with your prior consent.
